The National Academy of Medicine’s Action Collaborative on Clinician Well-Being and Resilience remains wholly committed to reversing trends in clinician burnout, and must acknowledge the toll that the current COVID-19 crisis is taking on the well-being of clinicians.
Even before the COVID-19 outbreak, many clinicians already faced burnout, as well as stress, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and even suicidality.
